You are bidding on a genuine 19th century Newspaper Antique Engraving Print from the Illustrated London News. There are two images on the page, this is the first image 'The Civil War In America : Retreat Of The Federalists After The Fight At Ball's Bluff, Upper Potomac, Virginia'. Please note that as you are bidding on the print only, the accompanying text may not be provided. In this instance, there is a description of events on the page undeneath the image. This is one full page only from the edition of November 23rd 1861 The date appears at the top of the page which may be visible on the scan. Over 140 years old and not a modern reproduction. Ideal for framing or collecting, a unique piece of history. Size of Page approx 16" x 10.75" Size of image approx - 6.5" x 9.5" As this print is from a newspaper, it will have printing on the reverse. The quality of the paper pulp used then was much better than modern newspaper and the page is in a very good condition for its age with foxing and some ghosting from opposite page in newspaper (See Scan). The print will be posted in a print bag, inside a Card Backed envelope. Please see my other listings for more prints and illustrations.
