You are bidding on a Anniversary Clock that chimes on the hour. The clock's face is in roman numerals and does not have a second hand. The clock chimes every hour. On the back of the movement t are two switches, one lets you change the chime sound from a Westminster chime to a chime that chimes only the number of strokes for the hour that it is, unlike the Westminster that does a little tune then chimes the hour. You can also set it so it does not chime at all. T is also a switch that lets you set it so it chimes on the hour all the time, or you can set it so it only chimes during the day and not at night. You can also set it so it does not chime at all just like the other setting. I am not familiar with this clock as I am selling it for a friend who does not know allot about it, so I MAY NOT be telling you about the settings correctly. I am just assuming that is what the settings do and I am also telling you about some of them because I have tried them out. I know that you can change the sound of the chime and I know that you can set it to a night setting so it does not bother you at night. What I am unsure about is why t are two settings turning the chimes completely off. The movement has Germany written on it so I assume it was made in Germany .
