This is a rare, late 1970's , guitar pick PIN, that bears the signature Black & White checkerboard pattern so loved by , and associated with, CHE AP TRICK gu itarist Rick Nielsen. This item was a record company promotional item that tied into the late '7 0's release of their greates t selling a lbum, " Cheap Trick at Budo kan ". The pick has Japanes e characters printed , Japanes e style t op to bottom, in red, perhaps foil. One of the above photo s was altered to bring out the text for easier viewing. T he back has a fully-functional, clasp- sty le pin securely anchored to the back. The p ick is White and the che ckerboard pattern is printed in Black on the front only . The pin has been used because, as a huge Cheap Trick fan (and still a Rick Nielsen fan) I wore it a lot back then. There are some minor di ngs on the edges and the very center of the front has a slight wear mark , visible in the first photo. But for a 3 5 year old pin, it's is great shape.
