Small previous owner's bookplate to the front fly leaf measuring half an inch by 2 inches. Another Hardwick College plate to the inside of the front hinge measuring 2 inches square. Fading olive publisher issued coloring to the top edge of the text block which has some very mild soiling to the edges. Mild bumping to the opening corners of the hinges and a light soil mark to the rear hinge. Cloth borads otherwise very, very clean. Inscribed to the title page. Quite rare signed copy of Capote's first book in its original 1st edition state. Book Description and Grading Key Mint: Completely free from defects. Fine: As free from defects as possible. Near Fine: Minor defects, light wear, no open tears to dust jacket.
