Italian Pottery Deruta Majolica Bird Match Toothpick HolderBird of FlorenceWe are pleased to offer this lovely hand painted Italian Faience Pottery toothpick or match holder with attached saucer manufactured in Deruta, Italy by Cantagalli . Its bottom is marked with the Cantagalli singing bird - rooster cockerel logo and the word "Italy". It features the yellow bird with blue wings that is the "city emblem" of Florence, Italy. It stands 3-1/2" tall. It measures 2-1/4" in diameter across the opening and 5" across the bottom of the saucer. It has a little fleabite on the bottom foot ring (extremely minor); otherwise it is in excellent condition.Just a lovely piece of vintage Italian Majolica that you are sure to want to add to your "Bird of Florence" pottery collection.Thanks for viewing our sale.
