A 1951 Re-Release Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm])Bernard Shaw's Caesar and Cleopatra, the 1945 Gabriel Pascal English Egypt/Rome romantic biographical historical epic starring Vivien Leigh, Claude Rains, and Stewart GrangerNote that we have only previously auctioned one example of this one-sheet, and that was 10 years ago! Also note that Claude Rains' star had fallen considerably in the six years since this movie was first released, and Stewart Granger's had risen considerably, so for this re-release, Granger got top billing alongside Leigh, where Rains had had that billing in the first release! What IS linenbacking? Learn More (U.S.)Condition: very good -- The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss and tiny tears on parts of the folds, with pinholes, tears, and tape stains around the edges. It had some scuffs scattered in the black areas at center. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
