You are bidding on this wonderful antique velvet and silk 1898 crazy quilt. It is a truly one of a kind handmade quilt. This amazing quilt has fabulous embroidery of flowers, wheat, stars and detailed colorful edging to each piece. T are embroidered intials of "LEF" in 2 places. It has a number of printed silk ribbons that read Storm Lake, California, Wiscousin Union, Washington County Veterans, etc. The entire quilt has a rich black satin rayon ruffle border approximately 3" all the way around the quilt. The quilt measures 66 1/2" by 54". The quilt is lined in a red floral print fabric with some light stains on the back. The quilt has some wear to the silks including missing and shredded fabric which is very typical for it's age. Ruffle needs resewn in one spot. Some of the velvet has wear. Great display piece! You'll love this one of a kind crazy quilt with lots of character. In very good condition considering its age. GOOD LUCK & HAPPY BIDDING!
