J.C. Yates "The Madman" Control Line Stunt Airplane Kit Manufactured by The Burbank Manufacturing Company in CaliforniaThis is a builder's kit; just the detailed plans and machine cut parts made of top-grade balsa and plywood. It also includes the hardware package. Yates designed the original airplane in 1947 and it was a great stunt flyer airplane with beautiful lines. It was intended for .60 engines. The original one was flown using an Orwick .64. The wingspan is 49". Do an internet search using the following phrase "J.C. YATES madman control line airplane" so you can learn more about Mr. Yates and this famous stunt airplane. The kit is new old stock (NOS) and in top shape. This kit is one of those that are hard to let it go but, I'll prefer it to go to a person that can appreciate control line history and can bring it to life instead of being inside a box.
