12x20" on medium uncoated cardstock. Promoting a concert at University of Iowa's Hancher Auditorium in Iowa City, IA on Sept. 26, 1974. Design shows tense scene of falling anvils. Pencil signed on verso by artist Scott Allen Ross. Trace of aging along left side w/trivial stray ink in right margin. Exc. From the archives of artist Scott Allan Ross. The show featured one of the first known versions of Meeting Across The River. The Boss and The E Street Band were on the cusp of superstardom, playing in front of nearly 2,600 on the University of Iowa campus. Autumn 1974 saw Born To Run hit number 3 on the Billboard top 200 chart and launched Springsteen on his way to securing a spot among the most notable musicians of his era.
