With the possible exception of Cal Ripken Jr. no player in the rich history of the Baltimore Orioles is more beloved than Brooks Robinson. His 23-year career was spent entirely with the Orioles this particular bat one that was ordered and used during the final season of Robinson's Hall of Fame career. The bat measures 35 inches in length and weighs 31.2 ounces is uncracked and exhibits several ball marks and stitch impressions including some white leather scuff marks from hitting baseballs. Robinson's number 5 has been written on the knob in black marker. Robinson has signed and inscribed the bat inscribing it to former Baltimore Orioles broadcaster and personal friend Ted Patterson. Graded GU 8 by PSA/DNA the bat is accompanied by an LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA and an LOA on the autograph from James Spence Authentication. NOTE: The correct PSA/DNA LOA was uploaded to this lot on April 9.
