BronzePeriod: Late Shang Dynasty, 13-11 century B.C.vessel like these were used to make offerings to the gods and ancestors. Objects like this are so well-preserved because they were buried with the kings in chambers that were often airtight.MEASURES 6" 1/2 X 7"PROVENANCE: Acquired from a Collector of Fine Chinese Art in La Habra California. She bought this in Shanghai China many years ago.AGE: Has not been tested to measure exact age. Therefore, I don't know the exact age for this wonderful piece of art.
