The Brayton Laguna "Mammy" is one of the classic images of the 1940's. With her colorful turban and knowing look, she has graced many kitchens over the years as a favorite cookie jar. Our reproduction Brayton Laguna Mammy cookie jar captures the charm of this Mammy in a colorful kitchenware addition. Mammy is wearing a lovely sea blue colored dress, a crisp white apron with a gorgeous handpainted grape motif in blues and purples and a tastefully coordinating turban. This Mammy has 23K fired gold hoop earrings and buttons.Each Mammy is completely hand painted. This gives each piece an individuality and personality not found in most of today's "imported" mass-produced ceramic goods. This is a large, heavy cookie jar, measuring a full 12" tall.
