You are bidding on a softcover book entitled Santa Fe Passenger Train Consists - Jan. 1937 . At the beginning of 1937, most Santa Fe passenger trains were still steam-powered and had all-heavyweight consists. The 55 pages of this publication provide a list of these AT&SF consists based on an employee list dated January 10, 1937 that covers all transcontinental and most secondary trains. This list includes the Super Chief ; Chief ; California Limited ; Grand Canyon Limited ; Navajo ; Antelope ; Fast Fifteen ; Texan ; and many other fine AT&SF passenger trains. An abbreviated timetable precedes each consist. An equipment summary provides passenger car type, numerical series, and number of cars still on the roster in 1937. A list of Pullman-car types and names and the routes they traveled fills eight pages. Black & white photographs illustrate the information. The book was published in 1970 by Wayner Publications.
