This offering is for a mint condition, wonderfully-detailed Wedgewood two-piece Covered Jar. This beautiful item is made of Wedgwood's world-famous blue and white Jasperware color combination, has super high-relief "classical figures" decoration and is in excellent unblemished condition.The detail present in all the high-relief molded figures is excellent; - bordering on the incredible. The figures are 1.25 inches tall; allowing you to see every fold, clasp and button on the clothing; - even tiny, tiny fingers are clearly visible ! I've posted close-up photos so you can see the incredible detail and wonderful workmanship present in this great Jar for yourself !This is not one of the little Wedgwood pin-holder / trinket dishes that are so common. This eye-catching Wedgwood jar is big and impressive, measuring a full 4 inches across and stands 3¾ inches tall to the top of the round finial.The plaque is totally authentic Wedgwood. It is impressed on the bottom with "Wedgwood" and "Made In England"; there is no impressed date but I believe this eye-catching piece is fairly contemporary - dating from the late 1990's. Condition is totally factory-mint; there are NO chips, cracks, flakes, stains or repairs, and there are NO firing cracks in the white Jasper relief.You will be very, very pleased with your investment in this scarce, beautiful read more
