Stunning Amethyst Geode TowerBig 1½ lb Beauty! This beautiful Amethyst geode is from the country of Uruguay and ranges in medium to dark shades of purple with mixed size druzy crystal points. The geode weighs 1½ lbs and is approximately 5½" tall, 2¼" wide, and sits up to 2¼" deep. This geode has polished edges, a flat cut base, and stands freely on its own, making it ideal for display on a shelf, desk, mantle or more. The stone features a great mix ofamethyst crystals with an agate rim!The stone also features a stunning Calcite crystal formation that developed at the base of the geode, plus a few smaller calcite crystals.No geode is 100% perfect, so please allow for a couple natural chips in some of the crystals. This a special geode that was mined out of solid Basalt, which is the gray stone on the back of the piece. Pictures show the amethyst in two different kinds of indoor lighting conditions. Amethyst is in the same family of gemstones as citrine and quartz, and is mined in sizes from small gemstones up to the large cathedral church.
