Stunning Amethyst GeodeBig 2½ lb Beauty!Special Auction Starting at 99¢This beautiful Amethyst geode is from the country of Uruguay and ranges in medium to dark shades of purple with mixed size druzy crystal points. The geode weighs 2½ lbs and is approximately 5" tall, 4½" wide, and sits up to 2" deep. This geode has polished edges, a flat cut base, and stands freely on its own, making it ideal for display on a shelf, desk, mantle or more. The stone features a great mix of amethyst crystals with an agate rim! No geode is 100% perfect, so please allow for a few small natural chips in some of the crystals. This a special geode that was mined out of solid Basalt, which is the gray stone on the back of the piece. This is a naturally fragile stone, so it has been stabilized with a small amount of sealant on the back side Basalt area of the geode. There is also a small chip in the basalt area. Pictures show the amethyst in two different kinds of indoor lighting conditions.Amethyst is in the same family of gemstones as citrine and quartz, and is mined in sizes from small gemstones up to the large cathedral church. A special Amethyst information card is also included with this geode. Would make a wonderful addition to a healing gems collection, as a gift, or resell for a profit.
