I will help with any answers.This auction is for an Antique Victorian Boston & Sandwich overshot hand made art glass pitcher. Very nice colorless 19th Century overshot art glass big 8&1/2" tankard-style pitcher with applied clear fluted handle. Hard to see in the photos but it's tapering from largest to base to smaller at the top like a tankard. It has a polished pontil mark.Good size and condition . Great clarity and nice shape.Almost all of the glass I have listed are late 19th century era and all are from the New England area of glass maker's around the last half of the 19th century. They are the best quality and craftsmanship. They are either Boston and Sandwich glass co., Mt. Washington/Pairpoint or New England Glass Company. All worked at the same time and made similar glass and did not mark their works (mostly) so hard to authenticate but I will stand behind my claim. NOTE: I believe the glass I have listed to be uncommon and bordering on RARE; there are less and less of these in the world everyday and they aren't making anymore!Provenance: This was originally deaccessioned and was sold to benefit the acquisition fund of a Cape Cod museum. It was part of their collection. I read more
