Beatles THE BEATLES ARE COMING STICKER! 1st PROMO ITEM FOR THE BEATLES 1963Rare early promotional item issued by Capitol Records to promote The Beatles In America!This sticker was the very first ever promotional Item produced by Capitol Records for The Beatles in the U.S.A.These orange & white Capitol promotional "teaser" stickers are among the earliest known items of Beatles memorabilia. The 3" x 2" stickers were designed to be placed by Capitol salesmen on "any friendly surface as you walk down the street". This was part of Capitol's initial January 1964 Beatlemania blitz to promote the release of the Meet The Beatles album and I Want To Hold Your Hand single. The stickers were made in large quantities in rolls of 250, and very few unused stickers exist today.Guaranteed 100% original. NM condition with original backing intact. Some slight yellowing from aging on the edges, typical of these stickers.Also Included is a Copy of the original 2-page document from Capitol Records describing the campaign. This copy is of noticeably higher quality than other copies that have been passed around over the years.(The memo contains a lot of interesting, important and historical information about the promotional items issued and their planned uses and release dates.
