Up for bid is a Bates Gildea & Walker 16" x 13" platter from 1879. It is what looks like gray transferware but may have originally been green and has faded. It does have a tight 2.5" hairline crack as shown in last photo. Some crazing and some darkening. Heavy-platter weighs nearly 4 pounds.
