Authentic Ni'ihau Shell Lei You are looking at an AUTHENTIC Ni'ihau Shell Lei & earrings set. All shells used to create this beautiful set are from the beaches of Ni'ihau. I say this because t are many necklaces being sold as Ni'ihau, but the shells were actually collected on one of the other Hawaiian islands (primarily Kaua'i, O'ahu and Moloka'i). Although the shells are similar, they cannot compare to the variety of colors, luster and brilliance of those found on the island of Ni'ihau. This stunning 17.25" (total length including the clasp) Kipona necklace is made from Momi uliuli 'ahiehie(light grey/blue momi shell) and 7 genuine Tahitian black pearls. These round light green/peacock pearls have terrific luster and color and range in size from 8.9 to 10.0mm. The matching earrings are 1 5/8" long with 8.3mm pearls.
