ART DECO ERA CLIP CARVED CHINESE STONE JADE? SOAPSTONE? I've owned this clip for over 40 years and I picked it up at an estate sale. It looks like jade but it could also be serpentine or soapstone. A lot of low quality jade was used during the 1920's to decorate furniture, jewelry boxes, make buttons, etc.Measures 3/4" wide x 1" and the clip works just fine. Clip is not marked and is NOT sterling. The carved vase projects out from the background - see photo. No chips or cracks. _gsrx_vers_416 (GS 6.0.4 (416))
