This is new in the sense that it has not been used for anything. It is vintage and came from a family member. It is anywhere from 1940's to 1980's, maybe older. She quit buying fabric in the 1980's. The lady who originally owned this was a quilter, and she bought this piece to use as quilt backing. I cut a little piece off to do the burn test and the ash is soft, so I am guessing it is cotton. The fabric has a print of yellow flowers angainst a white background. There is also a lot of small pink and green print on the background.The fabric has the name Marcus Brothers Textiles on the selvage. It is 60" wide, and lacks 2 inches of being 6 yards long. It has a slightly musty smell from long storage. One trip through your washer will remove that old fabric smell.
