This is a lovely old Wedgwood transferware plate that features exotic cranes in a lovely water garden. A large butterfly is brushing past one of the large flowers. It is about 9 3/4 inches in diameter. It is marked WEDGWOOD (please see detail photo.) The border features pheasants perched in vines suspended from a trelis, and t are large unidentifiable berries in the vines. It is a pretty combination of light blue and more intense dark blues, with many nuances in between. This plate is in pretty good condition -- t is one small chip and some roughness on the edge and very minor signs of wear (about three slight knife marks in the glaze when the light shines on it.)
