Antique Vintage Estate Hand Painted 13" St Francis Concrete Garden Art Statue What a beautiful & peaceful addition this will be to any garden! Found at a local estate sale, this old 13" hand painted St. Francis statue is one of the nicest I've seen. He is made from a concrete blend (heavier & coarser than plaster, lighter & more pourous than pure concrete. If you collect old yard art you'll know the material... they used to cast a lot yard art in this.) He is hand painted in soft matte colors. His face is delicately painted & he has a serene expression. He holds a bible in one hand & a cross over his heart, with the stigmata nail hole showing in this hand. Doves rest on his shoulder, arm & feet. A skull is on the ground near his foot. He measures 13" tall by 3.5" wide and 3.5" deep. He has obviously graced a garden for many years & he shows some light age wear... some paint chips & pitting. No cracks in the concrete & no repairs. I'd put him in a spot protected from rain, to preserve the original paint & protect him from further pitting. (Or you may want to cover him in clear coat, as a protective measure.)
