Antique Elgin 14k GoldPocket Watch with jeweled chain Antique Elgin 14k Gold pocket watch with jeweled chainElgin is an American company that started producing railroad watches in 1867 This 14k yellow gold watch was second hand to us, so we don't know the entire history It has some minor scratches from gentle use This is a beautiful antique that requires regular winding to keep it ticking in your pocket, as far as I can tell it was made in 1903 White face with Black Roman numerals to mark the time and eye-catching blue hands The chain is stunning in its own right! Studded with small gray pearl-like beads it features what looks to be a small but beautiful opal.***** The chain is not solid gold, rather plated or filled (it does not hold up to acid tests). The chain measures approximately 13" (and is doubled over), it weighs 14.9 grams. The watch itself measures about 33.33mm across (1.31") and 43.10mm (1.70") including the crown, the watch itself weighs around 31.5 grams. The entirety of the piece, both the watch and the chain, weigh approximately 46.4 grams.***
