The inclusion of such a beautiful Australian fire opal and geometric design is inspired by the "Gatsby" style of the time when dazzling stones and shiny gold were all the rage.This lovely necklace features a large Australian fire opal stone. This opal has a gorgeous fiery play of colors including oranges, blues, greens, and purples. This stone was cabochon cut, which serves to accentuate and draw out the fiery play of colors. The opal is held in place using a claw prong setting which allows the majority of the stone to be illuminated by the light. The back of the 14k yellow gold bezel is textured which adds a handmade, fascinating aspect to the necklace. The bale is adorned with a scalloped spray accent which draws the eye in towards the lovely stone.The chain and pendant themselves are composed of 14k yellow gold.
