Antique Victorian Ornate Mourning Locket with Hair or Picture Compartment and Seed Pearls.This is a wonderful example of antique Victorian mourning jewelry comprised of a very highly detailed locket designed in a type of shield shape .....embellished with raised scrolling.....finished with tiny seed pearsl. Deep compartment opening in the back for safe keeping of a dearly beloved's picture or hair. Clear cover in place. The locket opens and closes nicely.Locket is unsigned and unmarked...and has not been tested.The beautiful ornate locket with chain measures: 11 inches in length. The chain is doubled with a flower between the links.Locket measures 1-5/8 inches high by 1-1/8 inches wide.Some finish wear.
