This auction is for hard-to-find antique handmade tiny, faceted glass beaded ball dangle/baubles of the Victorian era .....Unfortunately, this was originally a trim in which each delicate dangle has a fine thread which is sewn through the length of the soutache cord.....however, due to the way that it has been stored, it is totally knotted up and is next to impossible to separate the cord....therefore, these are being sold as baubles or even buttons.......The balls have a wooden core (see Photo 4 as an example)......no beads are of the same size or shape......they are very tiny with a subtle sparkling quality..... each ball is about 1/2" in diameter. This was acquired in a lot of early textiles from a museum deaccession. The beadwork appears to be a shade of pewter gray, in my opinion.....I do not believe them to be black....there are a total of 9 (nine) bobbles, however, I have about 3 loose ones which will be provided. This is being sold "AS IS".
