This auction is for a really nice and very old Victorian balance scale housed in a great wood box with a hinged lid top and glass panel. The top of the platform is made from Victorian marble and then the mechanical portion of the scale is housed inside the box and operated by the turn knob on the front. The scale is in excellent condition and works great and includes a small collection of small weights. The pans on top do have some minor corrosion. Probably used in a pharmacy or for gold. The case measures about 13.25" long. Great piece and guaranteed as described!
