Up for auction is this rare antique table mounted mixer/beater with a one pint mixing jar with incised ounce and pint indicating lines. The beater is in excellent condition and probably dates to the 1920's. The overall length is 11 1/2" with the beater itself measuring 8 1/2". It is unusual in that the beaters move in opposite directions by employing two drive gears. It has no markings, but is similar to one on page 40 of Don Thornston's Beaters book. The jar measures 4 1/2" by 4 1/2" and is marked with "E-50" and "PAT. NO. 1,935,857. It is heavy glass and is also in good condition with only a very light flake on the rim. This would make a great addition to any collection and really displays nicely. I have it mounted to a cutting board, which is not part of this auction. Thanks for your interest in this item!
