Old Antique S.S. White Foot Pedal Manual Engine Industrial Dentist Dental Treadle Drill Description: Presented for your consideration is interesting antique dentist drill from the 1890s. The drill is powered manually with a foot pedal that turns the wheel and pulleys when a rope or belt is rigged through them. It has a black cast iron base and the pole is medal. This drill is commonly referred to as a treadle drill and has an expandable arm that swings back and forth. Arm is removable from the base. "S.S.W" is marked on the foot pedal and a plaque on the side of the base It is a S.S. White drill based on the markings on the foot pedal. The wheel and pulleys easily turn. Near the first pulley it is marked "Electric Dental Pat. and at the very tip of the pole it is marked with "U.S.A. Pat. Comes with a rope and hand drill piece. " This drill would make an interesting addition to your antique tool or medical equipment collection! There is some wear present throughout the drill needs a belt or rope to be threaded through the wheel and pulleys. No breaks. the drill handle does not clip in all the way the arm is in the wrong place it needs to be separated and rearranged it was stuck so we left it alone Overall, in VERY GOOD condition.
