ANTIQUE SIMON & HALBIG 28" CURO & OTTO DRESSEL DUCHESS JUTTA DOLL ~STUNNING~Up for bid is an ANTIQUE SIMON & HALBIG 28" CURO & OTTO DRESSEL DUCHESS JUTTA DOLL ~STUNNING~. Estate found, this comes from a doll collector's huge estate. She kept her dolls etc in immaculate condition. Shes absolutely gorgeous with rosy cheeks, open mouth with teeth, gorgeous brown eyes and stunning ringlets of blonde curls. She stands 28 1/2" tall. Doll collector's notes indicate this doll was made in memory of the Ducchess Jutta who was awarded city nights to Sonneberg in 1349. The town of toys every year celebrate the Jutta festival. The Curo & Otto Dressel Enterprise of Sonneberg dedicated their Jutta doll to the Jutta festival. I am not a doll collector and have many more pictures of her which I am happy to send. She is gorgeous, comes with an extra wig which has seen better days. Her hat is exquisite as are her clothes which I don't know if their original but they are spectacular. Her dress has some worn age spots, lovely leather shoes, socks, under garments. She has a bisque head and composition body. Her left pinky finger appears to have been repaired, she is jointed, comes with stand. Marked on back of head as in picture. Weighs 6 1/2 lbs. on her stand prior to packaging.
