Rare Edward Abel Rookwood Pottery cup & saucer. The saucer measures 5 1/4" in diameter. The cup is approximately 2 1/2" tall with an opening diameter of 2 1/2". Both pieces are free of chips or cracks. There is crazing, particularly in the cup with hardly any in the saucer. These pieces are in Cameo Hi-Glaze.Edward Abel came to Rookwood Pottery in 1890 at the age of 22, decorating wares until around 1895. He continued to produce artwork and pottery until at least 1935.Thanks for looking!
