This is an Antique Meissen Crossed Swords Match Holder and Striker with the Blue Onion Pattern.This striker is in perfect condition with no cracks or chips. The Striker measures 5" in diameter, and stand about 2 1/4" tall. The Striker weighs 10 OZ.Meissen Porcelain was started in Dresden, Germany in 1709. In 1710 Meissen moved to Meissen, Germany and in 1713 began producing white porcelain. Meissen has used several variations of the crossed swords maker's mark. This mark was used between 1815 - 1924.The bottom of the Striker has the blue crossed swords, and a blue "M". Impressed in the china is "K.101.", "27" and "L".Most of the items I sell are estate finds, and are presented to you in, as is, as found condition. They are described to the best of my knowledge. Some wear is to be expected, unless described as flawless or mint. I can't know everything about every item I offer, I do inspect each item and list all known flaws or damage.
