Up for auction is this lovely Antique W.M.C. Made In Germany mantel clock. I tried to see if it would keep time but it seemed to run fast and when put on the hour and half hour, it did not bong but sounded like it wanted to so being sold As Is needs repair condition. I do remember at one time many years ago it did work as it belonged to my grandparents. It has the key to wind it up and there are two places on the dial for winding. It is marked on the front of the dial. The clock opens up with a latch on the side and had a glass and wood door. There is some wear to the wood throughout such as a chip on the corner in the back scuffs, some discoloration such as on the top, etc. and it could use a cleaning. I had someone take the inside workings out so you can see them in photo and then put back inside the clock. the top piece comes out as there are two holes to put it in - see photo. It is approx. 12 1/2" tall without including the top decorative piece and approx. 10" across when measured at the bottom of the front (foot end to foot end). The clock has four little feet. I really love the wood design over the class in front. I found a tiny little brass piece and I am including it with clock as not sure if it goes with the clock for repair or not. A nice old clock for any home.
