This was a thrilling find for me at an estate auction here in the Seattle area. Over 100 years old, this box survived since 1907 where it would have been bought as a souvenir at the Irish International Exhibition. It is still in good condition. Its hinges and clasp still work and there are no severe blemishes. It shows a General View of the Exhibition Buildings. This box is Mauchline Ware which I understand to be a certain wood found in Scotland thatwas used to make souvenir items of all kinds in the late 19th, early 20th centuries. This box measures 5 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 1 3/4" high. Please let me know, if you have questions or need more pictures of this item.
