Ca. 1900 Antique Hand Painted - Very Rare Subject , signed by Wagner, Hutschenreuther Berlin Porcelain Portrait Plaque Painting in an antique Ornate Wood Gold Gilt Gesso Frame. The portrait of two beautiful maidens being chased by Cupid is titled " Amors Angriff" after the Edouard Bisson painting. Extremely well executed painting by Wagner with bright, rich colors and details. You rarely see this painting up for sale - perhaps a Royal Vienna Plate, but I haven't seen a plaque. The porcelain about is 4" by 6" with The HR mark and stamped #107. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing. Just a small 3/4" surface scratch on the lower left curved edge that sits under the frame. The ornate wood frame is 10.5" by 12.5" and in very good antique condition with a few small age cracks in the wood. Very Nice and Hard to Find Wagner Portrait Plaque.
