Antique HEISEY GLASS LRG Etched Intaglio Handled Basket MINT (early 1900's) This gorgeous piece of American Art Glass, made by the Heisey Glass Company, is in near MINT condition. I t has no nicks, no chips and no cracks. This large piece stands more than 13" tall; has a long handle and a footed, octagon shaped base. Its lip has eight large scallops, which create eight (8) wide panels descending towards the bottom of the basket. The base is also paneled. Encircling the body of the glass basket is an etched berry and foliage garland, which spreads towards the upper lip and base as it makes its way across the basket's panels. The handle is also 'paneled,' and featured at each point where it reaches the lip of the basket, is a thin, decorative glass 'band.' The interior bottom is marked with the company's 'H,' in a diamond. Measurements: 13" tall 7" basket height 6" basket diameter 4 3/4" base diameter Mark: "H" in a diamond I am currently auctioning 3 other pieces of Heisey glass, including a handled, open sugar bowl, a pitcher and an oval dish. I do combine shipping (to the best of my ability). The quoted price includes the cost of insurance, but because this piece is so heavy, Parcel Post insured might be best.
