An Edwardian hallmarked Silver bar Brooch. Brooch is set with two panels of polished hardstone (granite), and these pieces are set either side of a Scottish style of thistle. Brooch is 1 3/4" long, and in good general condition. Hardstone inserts are v.slightly nibbly at ends, and only visible under a magnifying glass. Well made and designed piece, and fully marked as follows - A.&L.Ld., Birmingham anchor mark, Sterling lion, and date letter f for 1905. Catch and pin to rear. (N.B:- Maker is Adie & Lovekin of Birmingham).
