Offered is a Gorham sterling bon bon bowl with a repousse clover design. I have not been able to find other examples of this particular Gorham pattern, so I believe it is an unusual and hard-to-find piece. The bowl measures approximately 5 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/8" deep measured at the widest points. The rim is just beautiful with a deep repousse design of clover flowerheads and leaves. The rim is scalloped and wavy and the scallop motif is carried through on the sides of the bowl. The bowl is marked on the exterior side with the Gorham trademark, " Sterling, A 2569". The detail of the design is outstanding. The clover flowerheads are made of tubular florets with tiny indentations at the tops. The leaves have curving lines and textured surfaces. I find the bowl a truly superior example of Art Nouveau design and Gorham craftsmanship. The condition is very good with only light normal surface wear and tarnish. T are a few minor dings in the bottom of the bowl, but no other imperfections. (See Photo) This is a very beautiful Gorham serving dish (bon bons, candy, nuts...whatever you'd like!) with outstanding craftsmanship and design. The buyer pays a fixed cost of 3.00 for USPS postage and handling. INSURANCE: T is an additional charge for insurance, which is strongly recommended for purchases over 15.00, but REQUIRED for purchases 5 read more
