ANTIQUE GERMAN PORCELAIN CELERY AND SALTS LUSTERWARE DISHES

Greetings!! We’re putting into auction this week a number of interesting items we’ve found in local estates here in Northern VA. Please Most of our things are vintage or antique and may not be perfect. All are sold “As Is and As Noted”. We describe each item honestly and to the best of our ability, and photograph flaws (if found by us). Please look closely at my pictures as I do consider them part of my description. Good luck bidding & thanks for dropping by. For this Auction: ANTIQUE GERMAN PORCELAIN CELERY AND SALTS LUSTERWARE DISHES Up for sale is my favorite Aunt’s wedding gift celery set. It was manufactured by Ilmenauer Porzellabfabrik. This black “IPF in a star” mark was introduced around 1919. My Aunt was married in 1920 so this would have been a special gift. The celery dish measures 12” x 5” with open handles and the individual salt dishes are 3” x 2 ¼” also with open handles. All are hand painted, have that special luster sheen and are in excellent vintage condition – no chips or cracks. There is a bit of paint loss on the large dish and one small one which to my eyes appears to have been a firing issue since you cannot feel them. This is quite a lovely set and has always been a treasure in our family. SHIPPING COST :We ship mainly with USPS. and to expedite this use their Priority Mail service.. However, on your request , your shipping cost can be reduced. On smaller lesser valued items I will look for the least expensive shipping options whether its parcel post on larger heavy items or 1st Class on small light items. When practical, I combine items into a single package, charging only for the additional weight of the package. If you want to consider other than USPS Priority Mail, please don't hesitate to let me know and I will send you a revised invoice based on your request. Note that eBay no longer offers an insurance option in their invoice builder software. Therefore, items I sell for over $250, will be required to be insured through the USPS postal insurance. In this case, I will send you a revised invoice. Also, as a result of new PayPal rules, proof-of-delivery will be required on these items (the cost of proof-of-delivery will be at my expense for US shipments). LOCAL PICK UP is always welcome. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: We will ship Priority Mail International on all items unless you request a lesser cost service such as 1st Class International. However, if the items’ value is $250 or greater, Priority Mail International is required in order to be eligible for USPS insurance. These rates for Canada are the same as for US shipping (see above). However, all other international shipping insurance is approximately an additional $1.00 to the above rates. For items that exceed the size and weight restrictions for first class international, we are required to ship Priority International. Additionally, the auction sold price is the amount that will appear on the customs form as the item value. Any import duties or taxes you may have to pay on your end are your responsibility. read more
