This antique French Empire gold gilt bronze lamp in the form of a torch with a flame finial is in very good condition with no dents, chips, cracks, or losses. Many classical design elements are represented here including lion paw feet, acanthus leaves, laurel wreaths, sun flowers, fluted pilasters, and bellflower garlands. The lamp has a nice patina, which I have only lightly cleaned and dusted. This beautiful bronze lamp sits atop a cream colored marble base, which is 3/4" thick, and is oval-shaped to follow the footprint of the lamp. This lamp, including the harp and finial, measures 35" tall and 9" across the base, and weighs an incredible 17 pounds! It is really a high quality bronze. The lamp has been tested and works, with the wiring appearing to have been replaced on this lamp in the recent past. This would make a beautiful addition to your home where all you have to do is select an appropriate shade, screw in a light bulb, and plug it in...it is ready to illuminate and be admired!Please review all of the photographs for additional condition reporting.Thank you for looking.
