You are bidding on an Antique Butlers Secretary Desk Commode Dresser Chest of Drawers. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and is an original antique that dates back to the earlier part of the 1900s Circa 1930 and was American made and of the HIGHEST quality furniture the market had to offer duirng the time period. This piece has its original "Genuine Mahognay" from The Mahogany Association of America and sits on beautifully curved ogee bracket legs which have nicely pierced trim work atthe bottom. It has beautiful graduated drawers which are all doweled and dovetailed together with rounded brass Bail pull handles that have nicely Shell Crested and carved design all from solid Mahogany wood as shown in the photos with nice curve and contour in its design features which really add up and give it much charcater. The top has a built in slide out writing table made of solid mahogany as shown in the photos. This was beautifully done after Traditional designs of the 18th Century and this chest was made with quality and craftmanship that is no longer found today . Because of its size it can be used in a Hallway or Foyer, Dining Room, or Living Room, Study or Parlor, or in a Bedroom or Boudior or in a guest room and anywhere else throughout your home as a beautiful accent piece that I PROMISE will be a topic of conversation and is an heirloom quality piece with its original label and province with Serial Numbers Stenciled in the back and could have been made by Colonial furniture, or possibly Kittinger, Henredon or one of the Permium brand name furniture companies who would have used the Genuine Mahogany label to solidify its quality. It has a beautiful and exotic naturally figured wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses anything that is made today and all wood construction but Please understand that this is an antique so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall this piece is in excellent shape.
