ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN c1910 MAHOGANY LIBRARY BOOKCASE DRESSER GLAZED DISPLAY CABINET Thisis an opportunity to bid on this Large and Impressive Library Bookcase that I think dates back to the early 1900's. The top section has two Glazed Doors, and three shelves that are adjustable and removable, the bottom section has one fixed shelf. There is an interesting Brass Strip running down the right hand door where it closes. There are locks to both the top and bottom sections - I even have the keys! It is all made from Solid Mahogany (and the back-boards solid wood) - not a bit of plywood to be found in this piece of furniture! The finish is a Rich Chestnut Brown and is in Good Condition - a going over with some quality coloured wax polish such as Fiddes Georgian Mahogany would really make it sing! The only bit of damage that I can see is a bit missing from the cornice on the right hand return (see photographs). It measures:- 45" (114cms) max. width, 21" (53cms) max. depth, and is 87" (221cms) high. I have looked all over this Bookcase and I can find no trace of woodworm, or any other nasty beasts come to that. It is for sale here with No Reserve and a Low Starting Price! This is an antique second-hand piece of furniture and will obviously have signs of wear, so have a good look at the photos, but don't be put off! Come and join the read more
