Vintage DeMolay Masonic Fez with Tassel and original drawstring storage bag.An estate find. The family said their grandfather belonged to a Masonic youth organization in Texas and marched in a band, in parades, and used to wear a fez like this as part of his band attire.The fez is in good vintage condition. The ends of the tassel are a little frayed.The fez has the original drawstring storage bag. The bag is in good shape, considering its age, with only one small tear (about 1/4" in size). It measures approximately 9" x 5". The front of the bag has the name of the company that made the fez - The Cincinnati Regalia Co. On the other side of the bag, is the name of the person who wore the fez (Boyd Thubeville ?). Underneath the name is his first, middle, and last initials (B. E. T.). The bag is also stamped twice on both sides with "PROPERTY OF DEMOLAY BAND YOAKUM, TEXAS".My online research leads me to believe that the fez and bag are 90 - 100 years old.This fez and bag is one of three that I acquired at the estate sale.
