This is a very old hand carved wooden brooch of a Mexican man with his cart & donkey. The wheel is made of dark green bakelite. It was hand carved sometime during the 20-30 years because of the bakelite wheel. The C clasp is much older & it was probably put in when they carved the brooch. The clasp looks like early 1900's or older. The paint looks original, a flat base in bright colors. The red stringing is hard to tell if it was put on then or of it is a replacement? The brooch is in very good shape for as old as it is. Any collector of old wooden jewelry would love this in their "hoarde".It will come tissue wrapped inside of a gift box to protect it from damage during delivery & for the buyer to have for keeping it preserved as well as the previous owner did.
