AN ANTIQUE CHARLES HORNER THISTLE BROOCH. THE BROOCH IS APPROX 3.5CM X JUST OVER 1.5CM . IT HAS AN AMETHYST THISTLE STONE AND A BLUE STONE ON THE MOUNT. THE BASE OF THE THISTLE HAS A VERY INTRICATE DESIGN AND THE MOUNT IS A TYPICAL ART NOUVEAU SCROLL DESIGN. THE HALLMARKS ARE LION PASSANT - STERLING SILVER - TOWN ASSAY CHESTER- DATE LETTER FOR 1907 AND MAKERS INITIALS C. H - CHARLES HORNER. A LOVELY ITEM IN VERY GOOD CONDITION THE DESIGN HAS A TREMBLEUSE FEATURE TO THE THISTLE HEAD AND IT IS MOVABLE ON THE STEM.
