This is a quality opal, which has a green/grey background colour with bright flashes of green, yellow, orange and blue across its entire surface. � It is 8mm by 7mm and a little over 1.00 carat. The gold shank is stamped "333", which is a German mark for solid 8 carat gold and it looks to date to Circa. 1900 or thereabouts .
