Look closely and you can see the tiny Monks with different facial expressions, some sticking out their tongues, smiling, hands in and out of robes, hands together in prayer Etc. Seams of the nut carved in bamboo branches and leaves.Smaller Chinese Carved Walnut:This nut has carved Monks playing musical instruments, fanning themselves, a large Dragon crawling among the monks who have different carved expressions, smiles, tongues out Etc. What can you find? This is a very rare nut but when musical instruments are being played by Monks and a Dragon is included, that makes the piece even more rare. These authentic carved Walnuts are carved with stone tools since metal tools could not create such smooth and detailed figures of Monks, faces, Lotus Flowers, Bamboo, Dragons Etc.
