Antique Art Deco/Nouveau Brass Fireplace Fender Footed Pierced Guard Bumper Brass Hearth DecorThe beauty of this vintage piece speaks for itself...a sleek curved profile and absolutely beautiful lines are the hallmarks of this solid brass Art Noveau/Deco Fireplace Fender. This piece is very handsome and would look stunning in front of a variety of fireplace styles and materials. This is not a newer pressed or stamped brass piece but truly a solid antique brass piece and a rare find. Unknown manufacturer. The condition on this lovely piece is excellent, no structural damage and very minor wear. We do not see any dents in this approx. 100 year old piece. There is tarnishing on the brass, which is removable (I polished one small spot),....... (but I have left the tarnish in place as some actually like the antiqued look that the tarnishing brings to the piece). This was probably last polished in 1960's or earlier - our best estimate - not restored. Fender measures approx. 47" wide x 9" tall and 9" deep.We sell mostly Vintage and Antique goods, if you are expecting items to be in brand new condition, then most of the items we sell are not for you. Vintage and Antique items are very rarely in absolute pristine or new condition, they are what they are, older and in used condition. Please use the photos to help judge content and condition
